Foreign Correspondence

Asher has lived on-and-off in Turkey from 2007 until 2014, when he got settled in California. He also studied in the Netherlands in 2013 and has traveled in the Central Asia, the Caucasus, the Persian Gulf, throughout Europe, and the Philippines. He has reported for the Los Angeles Times, Slate, Roads & Kingdoms and many more publications.

Asher can speak Turkish as well as his native language of English. He’s taking lessons in Persian and can remember ever-decreasing amounts of Hebrew, Urdu, and Spanish.
