Geography & Place

Asher is interested in how borders are used to determine which communities get access to infrastructure and which don’t.

He has written about shared space in urban contexts and immigrant geographies for The State, and his architectural project imagining a drone-proof city was initially published on Chapati Mystery but was later published in The Atlantic, Smithsonian Magazine, Popular Science, and Vice.

Asher has also studied legal regimes of land use in local, regional, and international contexts.
